About Me

My first yoga class was as a student in my early 20’s studying in Siena, Italy and I instantly knew I loved every single thing about it. I loved the movement, the way it made me feel and the community it created. As I then went on into corporate life in an Investment Bank I started practising Pilates in my lunch hour which offered the perfect balance of strength, control and mind body connection. Pilates always left me feeling immediately grounded and yet ready for a full on afternoon and evening!

I am a mum of four girls so I fully understand the necessity for pelvic floor strength and core stability.

After the birth of my third daughter, I had some autoimmune issues that at the time felt like they appeared out of the blue (they hadn’t, they had crept up on me over many years) and they floored me. I went from consultant to consultant and was told to go to the gym and exercise. Everything I did in the gym knocked me for six, except yoga and Pilates. The feeling of being ‘in my body’ and the steady pace of movement calmed my nervous system and made me feel energised. I knew that what I had discovered 15 years before, was the key to my wellbeing.

I’m a specialist in pelvic floor rehab and core strength having completed several training programmes and I am also pre and post natal qualified.

Yoga and Pilates had kept me active and well throughout each of my pregnancies, with straightforward deliveries and recovery. During my last postnatal period I decided I really wanted to help other people feel the benefits in their body just as I did. I trained with Michael King at MK Pilates and became a fully qualified Pilates teacher.

Stronger yet calmer, both physically & emotionally.

I have more recently completed my Reformer 1 and 2 Training with Balanced Body and I am loving the extra strength and control that practice on the Reformer offers!
